Name: Jonathan Smith

Skills:

During my time at university I have gained experience in using a number of computer packages. I have had experience using Photoshop, Flash, 3Ds Max and Premiere Video editing suite.
Although I have experience using a range of packages I feel that my best work was produced using 3Ds Max. Over the three years I have spent at university I have created 3D models and animations for a number of applications.

I have a basic understanding of French, which is of a GCSE grade C standard.

I have held a full UK driving license for nearly four years.

Education:

University

I am currently studying a BSc Hons degree in Computer Aided Visualization at Anglia Ruskin University. I have completed a number of modules to date, including:

website design (beginners)
video editing
sound editing
2D animation (Flash)
3D modelling and Animation
3D Character animation

For my Major Project I am undertaking a 3D modelling and animation project. The project involves modelling and animating a walk through of a proposed building design. I have worked from architect’s plans to create an accurate, scale model of the design. Once modelling is finished I will model all of the interior furnishings and produce a range of visuals, including video and still images, ready for client approval.

Employment

Bennetts Electrical

Warehouse Assistant
October 2008 – January 2009

In this position I was responsible for processing customer orders and assisting customers with their purchases. This role required me to be approachable as well as responsible as I had to deal with expensive items.

Co-operative Society
Co-op Local

Sales Assistant
September 2005 – June 2008

Throughout my time in this position I was required to assist and serve large numbers of customers. As part of my role in the company I also had to help with deliveries, promotion changes and stock rotation.
Part of my duties also included working for long periods of time on checkout, which meant I had to handle large amounts of money. This meant that I needed to be responsible and reliable.

Interests

My main interest is 3D modelling and animation. Since starting university I have become increasingly fascinated by the way in which the 3D medium is used in different industries. I enjoy drawing and developing ideas and characters which I can create using 3D software. At present I like to experiment with ideas for architectural designs, both interior and exterior.

  1. Well done with the information included, but I think the order of the elements won't help people to keep reading your CV. Instead of starting with your aim, start with your job experience, then education, followed by skills and at the end interests and aim.
The information an employer will be interested to read will be your name, job experience and skills, so don't expose yourself to loose interest!
