I liked the idea of 'Behind closed doors' as it had an interactive element. The public would have to progress though the exhibit by choosing which door to walk through.
Once all presentations were completed the decision of which idea to choose was put to a class vote. It was chosen that our groups 'The Studio' idea was to be the theme of the exhibition. We were very pleased with the outcome of the vote as the whole of our group felt that 'The Studio' was our favourite idea from the beginning.
With the theme chosen we then had to divide the class into three groups. The groups were Graphics, Web site and exhibition organisers. I chose to be in the group for exhibition organisers. As a group we have to arrange all aspects of the exhibition, including location, sponsors, arrangement of the exhibits, invites, hospitality and rota.
It is my personal job this week to find prop companies that can supply the stationary props that were shown in our original skecth. If the props are too costly, or un-available then we may consider producing them ourselves. It may be a case of scraping the idea if it isn't plausible.
It has also been asked that we think of people to invite to the exhibition. I am going to look though the telephone book and on the internet to see if I can find any local companies that specialise in the types of work we have produced.
For the PDP section of this module I have been developing an image that I can use on my personal buisness card and CV. I wanted to create a striking image that would catch the readers eye. With this in mind I tryed to use bold colours and artwork so that the image stands out. The scene was created using 3Ds Max and I created the majority of the textures in Photoshop.
I hope that the image portrays my capabilities as a designer. I have used minimal furnishings so as not to make the scene too crowded.
I would like to use this image on my CV, buisness card and possibly on a website.
